The vast archaeological site, became a World Heritage Site, provides a unique show of its kind: among the main temples there is the Temple of Juno, from which you can fondle with your eyes all the beauties of the valley; the Temple of Concord, one of the most charming in the Greek age, which also represents the best preserved temple in the world; then, there are the Temples of Hercules, of which, unfortunately, remain only the ruins, able to enchant anyone who looks at them, thanks to the power of time and nature. Can not forget the Greek-Roman excavations district, that thanks to the sewerage, the exquisite mosaics, and wells, they show the great strength of this civilization, with both artistic quality, but also and especially with high technical knowledge, typical of a society in constant evolution and growth.

The first landscape national day was an event that promoted the culture of the landscape, aimed at raising awareness the people about the themes and values of the protection of territories. The prize awarded to our land, today makes us proud. An award that should be respected and taken head-on, an award that gives immense joy to our beloved Sicily.
